This June 29, St. Peter’s and Paul’s Day and the 60th anniversary of our foundation, has been a special joy for the large idente family of New York, with its four parishes. St. Luke’s Church (Brentwood, Long Island) was the place where both the spiritual lesson and the solemn Eucharist were celebrated, with the presence of our beloved brother and president of the Idente School, José María López Sevillano, who was in charge of reading and commenting on the beautiful lesson given to the whole Institution by the president of our Idente Institute of Idente Missionaries, Fr. Jesús Fernández Hernández.
Luis Casasús, Superior General of the Idente Missionaries (male branch), received his apostolic profession and celibate vows from our brother Jonathan Ibarra, 26 years old, born in the United States but with Central American roots since his father is Guatemalan and his mother is Salvadoran. Many young people from Idente Youth and families from Idente parishes in the Bronx and Long Island attended the ceremony. Approximately 150 people attended, all very excited by Jonathan’s life and testimony. At all times, the great love and joy of his family were very visible, especially on behalf of his parents Gustavo and Elena. Without a doubt, their consecrated life is a joy and blessing for the Institution and for the Church.
