In February, in the United States, 25 participants, ages 18 to 35, were called by God, in mysterious ways, to live together with Christ for the Motus Christi weekend. The annual retreat was held at Immaculate Conception Seminary in Huntington, New York.
At the retreat, the participants received many graces from the talks, and they really appreciated how the talks connected them and encouraged them to be perseverant in their spiritual lives. There were also testimonies of several young adults who spoke about their spiritual journey of faith and divine love. Everyone was delighted by the shared living in the “Athenaeum”. It was truly a place to encounter Christ in others and to grow in silence.
The young adults shared that their takeaway was to go beyond their wounds. For many, this retreat marked a new beginning, in which they expressed readiness to commit themselves to Christ and His church. They had one suggestion, though: the next Motus Christi should be longer.
