“Fear not for I am with you”

The NCBA Campus Ministry, entrusted to the Idente Missionaries of Christ the Redeemer by Bishop Roberto O. Gaa, gave a Spiritual Recollection for the Grade 6 students of National College of Business and Arts to assist them spiritually in the upcoming big change in their lives, moving up to high school. There were 24 students, 8 girls and 16 boys, who participated. It was held at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Chapel, NCBA Fairview Campus.

The main theme of the recollection is “Fear not for I am with you” emphasizing how Jesus Christ is always with us despite our fears. In the program, the kids introduced themselves through an acrostic poem with each of the letters of their names represented by their virtues of positive traits.

They also learned a song, composed by one of our Idente Missionary sisters, Mary Rose, entitled “Sino ba Ako?” (Who am I?), making the students think about their true identity. Each one listened to the talk and most of them received the touch of the Holy Spirit telling them that they are not alone in their journey.

The group also had a moment to adore the cross and tell their Divine Brother, Jesus, their fears and worries. The recollection is ended by singing together the song “Sino ba Ako” and giving out stickers as a remembrance. All in all it is a fun and spiritual half-day for everyone.
