The traditional Family Day took place on February 11th in Yaoundé. The group continues to grow with new couples celebrating their religious marriage. We started with an introduction on education by Francis, followed by an interesting film, “Overcomer”. Afterwards we shared separately, the young people and the parents. The young people saw several values in the film: the importance of prayer in times of difficulty, of powerlessness,… mutual help between family members, the importance of discovering our true identity as sons and daughters of God, beyond profession, civil status, etc.
After the meal, the break, the games, we celebrated the Holy Mass where our brother José Manuel encouraged us to pray as a family, explaining the Gospel to the children and remembering the three words that reinforce charity: please, thank you and forgiveness.
We said goodbye with a smile on our lips and in our hearts after this beautiful day.
