Since May of 2015, the Idente Missionaries administer Our Lady of Loretto Parish (Hempstead, NY) with the richness of their charism, and within the guidelines of the Diocese of Rockville Centre.
One of the most beloved traditions of the Parish, whose pastor is Rev. Luis Miguel Romero, M.Id, is the acting out of the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday. The entire parish is involved in this act of devotion which begins in the parking area and ends there again after going around the streets of the neighborhood. Other activities at Our Lady of Loretto Parish are the courses on faith & values and the leadership school for Hispanic youth. The parish has also a social service center and youth associations.
