On December 10, the Territorial Delegation of La Paz (Bolivia) had a joy made double. On the one hand, the Eucharist commemorating the XIII Anniversary of the passing to heaven of our beloved Father Founder was celebrated in our Parish of the Holy Family. On the other hand, in this very special setting, was celebrated the ceremony of entry into the common life of our Institution, of our sister Patricia Paz Camacho. It was attended by numerous people, including relatives, and friends as well as members of the idente family.
The Mass was presided over by our brother Gregorio Cabrera, who in the homily made reference to the exemplary life of our Father Founder, whose loving surrender to Christ led him to the offering of his life for the mission entrusted by the Father.
Our sister Maite Otón, Territorial Delegate of La Paz, addressed our beloved sister Patricia with some words centered on the blessing of God, that we contemplate in his Fiat to Christ, given with firmness and dedication. She also expressed the immense joy and gratitude of all for this yes she had given to Christ for some time, specifically in her experience in India, and that at this time she was making it public. Maite praised her way of confessing the faith before young university students and that her love for the Father had led her to desire with ardor to surrender without reservation to Him, passing over all challenge.
Finally, she wished her to remain happy in Christ and to preserve her missionary zeal, her first charity and spirit of obedience until the end of her days, always counting on the prayer of all her brothers and sisters: “Like a great family, we will accompany you in this way of Love. You know that by telling Christ ‘Yes I want’, Christ gives you the fullness of life. ”
At the end of the Mass, our sister Patricia gave her testimony, which moved us deeply. With emotion she conveyed to us her happiness and gratitude for the mercy of God having chosen her, despite having lived attached to the world, to carry out a missionary life dedicated to making known to the youth the wonderful gift of following him and abandoning oneself to his Providence, leaving everything for love to Him: “My tears are of joy and gratitude to God for having looked at me, the love of God fills me and I am fully happy with Him, ready to do His will.”
The whole ceremony took place in an atmosphere of recollection and profound joy. It was a great celebration that, without a doubt, our Founder was contemplating from heaven, blessing us with his fatherly smile.
