Taking advantage of the opportunities offered by virtual education, the Idente missionaries in Chile talked about the universal vocation to holiness, classroom by classroom, with all the young people of Nuestra Señora de la Luz School in Lima. The aim was for each of the young people to feel in the first person the invitation of Christ to become a saint.
The meetings, which took place during the week of 24 to 28 August, had a warm and familiar atmosphere. Our brothers, after having known the children a little, shared the testimony of their religious vocation, of how they live the Gospel on a daily basis, and the greatness of having Christ as their model. It is very important that young people dream big things, and that they know about good things, that leave a mark on their lives.
“Be holy as I, your Father, am holy” (Mt 5:48) was the voice our Founder, Fernando Rielo, heard in his adolescence; and that, in short, was the invitation the missionaries of Chile made to all the young people of our school in Lima, Peru.
